'Telling A Story'-2022 / Artist - Sonia Welford

Sonia Welford is a contemporary expressionist and abstract artist. Polish born, Sonia has spent over a decade in London now residing in New Zealand. Her work always has a message or mystery hidden behind the scene as she believes emotions help us live more fulfilling lives.

Sonia uses acrylic and sometimes oil paints and multiple techniques to create textured surface layers. She follows simple lines, leaving brush stokes, patterns, creating deepness, emotive and visual balance full of adventure and soul. Sonias original artworks are painted on canvas and then a selected few are turned into limited prints.

Our collaboration with Sonia allows her to express her personal artistic creativity while capturing the free spirit of the Indie Home Collective look and feel.
