Kee Lee Joe is a contemporary artist based in Auckland, New Zealand. Inspiration for her pieces mostly comes from her time as a child growing up in Africa. Her works reflects the joy and vibrancy of the culture there, as well as her nostalgic memories. Many of her series draws from elements of nature, from the colour palette to the movement of the works can be seen reflected in wood, marbling and arid regions.
